Our
lovely 500 year old historical Wirtshaus Hocheck hotel is positioned
at the entrance to the Berchesgaden National Park, with it's breathtaking
scenery of mountains, forests, lakes and beautiful old Bavarian
towns.
The hotel is ideally situated for all to enjoy the nature of this
beautiful part of Bavaria, whether it being mountain climbing, hiking,
biking or sightseeing.
The lovely historical town of Berchesgaden is only ten minutes drive
away from the hotel. The Königssee is the same distance away
and the Austrian city of Salzburg (for all Mozart music lovers)
is an approximate thirty minute drive away. |

Salzburg
is our nearest airport and Munich is approximately two hours drive
from our location. All these areas are supported by a very efficient
rail service.
For your enjoyment during the winter months, there are three ski
areas within a few kilometers from Ramsau, suitable for all levels
of experience. |

My
wife and I have studied old photographs of our hotel and have
spent considerable time and loving feeling into restoring it to
it's old charm and character.
All our bedrooms have handmade wooden furnishings made locally
in the period of the area. No two rooms are alike, all rooms have
a bath, or shower, toilet, balcony and cable television. Three
of our rooms are for families, sleeping up to four persons per
room.

Why
not enjoy a meal in our internationally recognized kitchen, from
our traditional Bavarian style meals, to my own specially created
recipes, using fresh locally produced ingredients wherever possible.
All meals can be served in our Bavarian style restaurant, heated
in the winter months by an old log burning ceramic stove or, during
the summer months, sitting in our beer garden under the shade of
the chestnut trees with a view of the Watzmann and some of Bavaria's
highest mountains. We have an extensive range of fine wines and
locally produced beers for your enjoyment.
German and English are spoken by myself or my wife. We both like
to create a home from home feeling for everyone to enjoy a wonderful
holiday with us. Many of our previous guests have commented "they
feel as though they are visiting friends". |

price per person, per night, including continental breakfast is
from 28.00
Euros to 42.00 Euros,
depending on the choice of room. .
